Art you can touch - sculptures made of stone and wood

In the middle of the Nettepark, the Kunstforum association created a sculpture park at the 2015 "Art in the Park Event". This "open-air workshop" was initiated by Christoph-Klaus Zernia (Plaidt) and Wolfgang Dillenkofer (Mayen). Other artists who participated in the action are Simone Carola Levy (Höhr-Grenzhausen) and Jürgen Beckamp (Niederkassel). Numerous impressive works of art made of wood as well as Plaidter Basalt were created. Simone Carola Levy, for example, created a two-part, rotating sculpture made of wood. The stonemason Christoph-Klaus Zernia carved a large head out of a basalt stone. And inspired by an earlier visit to Plaidter Park, Jürgen Beckamp modelled two playing children out of wood. A two-metre-long wooden structure by Wolfgang Dillenkofer and many other works of art complete the exhibition. In 2017, even more pieces were added, such as the motorbike on a basalt finial.
