Among others, canonesses and top officials of the prince abbey resided in the half-timbered houses from the 17th century. In the 17th century, the Labadists found refuge in house number 7 under the protection of Abbess Elisabeth v.d. Pfalz. In 1999, Heinrich Wemhöner built the only history hotel in Germany at number 9, furnished with numerous testimonies from the history of the prince abbey. In the passageway from the street to the courtyard, there are seven bronze reliefs from the town's history.
