Information for cyclists
The Münsterland has a 4,500 km long, well-signposted network of cycle paths and is therefore an ideal travel and excursion destination for cyclists. The city of Borken is located in the lowlands of the Münsterland and is also connected to this cycle path network. Various cycling and themed routes and neighbouring smuggler's trails to the neighbouring Netherlands invite cyclists to discover exciting things to see and do.
The Borken Climbing Forest is also connected to the Münsterland cycle path network.. The next junction with the number 57 is near the Pröbstingsee lake. The following routes run via this junction

The circular hiking trail and the planetary path invite you to hike.

Arrival
The climbing forest is located to the west of the town centre of Borken in the Hoxfeld district.
By car:
via the A31 (Oberhausen-Emden), exit Borken, via B67, travel time approx. 20 minutes).
alternatively via the A3 (Cologne-Arnheim), Hamminkeln exit, journey time approx. 25 minutes).
By train:
Borken is the terminus of the RE14 railway line (Essen-Bottrop-Dorsten-Borken).
From Essen main station the journey time is approx. 1 hour.
Borken station is still 6 km away from the district of Hoxfeld.
By bus:
From Borken station, take the R51 or S75 lines and get off at the "Ortsmitte" stop in Borken-Rhedebrügge.
The Kletterwald can be reached after a 10-minute walk.
Parking
There is free parking near the climbing forest on the road "Pröbstinger Busch".
