Launched in Cologne in 2010 with 2 stores, in 2015, Smile Optic is represented in Cologne with 6 stores and one store each in Duisburg, Hennef, Viersen, Heinsberg, Troisdorf, Gelsenkirchen, Ratingen, Herne, Dinslaken, Düren and Oberhausen. Branches in Rheine, Ahaus and another in Cologne followed in 2016. At the beginning of 2017, the branch in Neuss and the Smile Optic online store joined the family. Further Smile Optic stores are being planned for 2017 and will follow in the coming weeks and months. The online store www.smileoptic.de, which was launched in January 2017, is the latest project and expands the eyewear range, which includes over 1,000 brands and own brands, in a meaningful way.
In 2019, we reached a new milestone: the technology was significantly expanded with a second hall and major investments were made in the production facilities. Only very few providers in Germany manufacture at this level. Smile Optic is therefore equipped for the future. New branches in Bergheim, Velbert and Gütersloh.
In 2020, the branches in Herford, Krefeld, Lemgo and Unna will follow.
In 2021, the focus is on growth. The Detmold, Coesfeld, Lippstadt, Herford and Paderborn branches join the Smile family.
