Vantage point/Observation tower

Around 1880, the original Schaaffhausen pulpit was built by Hermann Schaaffhausen. He was a scientist and co-founder of modern anthropology. He owned Villa Schaaffhausen in the Rommersdorf district, which is still named after the family today.

The small platform at the edge of the forest, from which a view as far as the Cologne Bay is possible depending on the vegetation, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful vantage points in Bad Honnef and the entire Siebengebirge.
