Information for cyclists
Bocholt's location alone makes it a wonderful destination for cyclists. Small rivers such as the Issel or Bocholter Aa meander through the landscape and are surrounded by beautiful nature. Along the Bocholter Aa, a 58-kilometre cycle path leads from Velen via Rhede and Bocholt to Isselburg to great sights and through a beautiful landscape. Imposing castles in Isselburg and Raesfeld are within easy reach and the Rhine and our Dutch neighbours are not far away either. The possibilities are manifold.
Various themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through the Münsterland. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very special contents of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. The municipal forest in Bocholt is also connected to various themed cycle routes.
Hohe Mark Nature Park Route

The entrance to the Münsterland cycle path network, which is around 4,500 kilometres long, runs directly through the municipal forest and offers numerous opportunities for great cycle tours in the region.
