Nature reserve/natural monument

Schwatte Gatt is a nature reserve. The name means something like "black hole". However, the visit is as magical as it is mystical. The area is characterised by moorland vegetation, tranquil lakes and wet heaths rich in peat moss. It is here that the Schwatte Gatt is transformed into a marvellous sea of flowers every spring.
