A journey through time to the town of Corvey

The Archaeological Park in the Weserbogen is part of the Huxarium Garden Park and brings the former town of Corvey back to life digitally. Using augmented reality the large market church or the Weser bridge appear on the screen of the smartphone. On the Hellweg, visitors can see a horse-drawn carriage or meet the guard at the town fortifications. In architecturally designed wooden cubes, visitors to the park encounter medieval people in radio plays, for example the famous surgeon from the Weser. He had cataracts and even his surgical instruments were found right here. If you want to get to know the work of an archaeologist, you can look over his shoulder in a live excavation or grab a trowel yourself and uncover history.

In this part of the park, you will not only find the archaeology park, but also the "Colourful Classroom", a nature garden forum and a Nieheim wicker hedge, among other things. The large playground is a great destination for families in particular.

The beekeeper's garden and the nature garden forum showcase natural, insect-friendly gardening and the agri-photovoltaic plant with hydrogen production demonstrates the energy generation of the future.
