Bleach meadow with monument of the laundresses

The monument of the laundresses (group of bronze statues - erected in 2002, Anneliese Schmidt-Schöttler) reminds of the former use of this meadow as a place for bleaching the laundry: Washed and repeatedly moistened items of laundry were placed on the clean grass in the sunlight to bleach the laundry.
