A viewing tower on the highest point of the Arnsberger Wald forest.
The Lörmecke tower is at the highest point in the Arnsberg forest nature park. In good weather, there is a wonderful view out over the Hochsauerland region. The viewing tower is located directly on the “Sauerland-Waldroute” (Sauerland forest route) premium hiking trail.
From the “Lörmecketurm” hiking car park directly on the B55 between Meschede and Warstein, you reach the viewing tower on foot after about 3.5 km. This path has no steep ascents and is also suitable for push chairs (gravel path).
Anyone wanting to take a more sporty route can start their hike to the Lörmecke tower in Eversberg at the “Buchplette” hiking car park. Here, we follow the A8 trail, which runs parallel to the Sauerland-Waldroute.
