Ohne dich würde ich mich nicht trauen by Herakut

A prime example of the artist duo Hera and Akut can be found on the façade of the community centre in Cologne Ehrenfeld.
Hera, an artist from Frankfurt, takes on the graffiti design part, while Akut, originally from Schmalkalden, focuses more on concept, drawing and text. Both worked as a team from 2004 to 2020 and combined their styles in many of their works. Together, their artworks pursue the humanitarian approach of enhancing urban locations and setting positive accents in the urban world.

Here, the grounds of BüZe Park are embellished. The work makes direct reference to the group of people for whom the space is intended. In fact, it was not so long ago that this space, now almost unimaginable, was avoided rather than visited, especially in the evenings and at night. The mural can be seen as an effective building block for reclaiming the park for the children and the neighbourhood.
