Information for cyclists
Telgte is a charming town in the middle of the Münsterland parkland and, with its central location in the region, offers perfect conditions for cyclists.
The statue of the town crier stands in the centre of the town, on the market square.
From here, you can reach wonderful excursion destinations such as the historic old town of Warendorf or the marvellous Rieselfelder and Prinzipalmarkt in Münster via the Ems cycle path. The EmsRadweg is one of numerous themed cycle paths that wind their way through the Münsterland region and connect the most beautiful places.

Around 4500 kilometres of cycle paths invite you to discover the Münsterland by bike. There is something for everyone. With the help of the Münsterland-wide junction system, even those unfamiliar with the region can easily find their way around.

Journey
Telgte is located around 14 kilometres east of Münster. The market square is located in the historic old town centre of Telgte.
Travelling by car:
Telgte can be reached by car via the A1 motorway (Cologne - Bremen) or the A43 (Wuppertal - Münster). From Münster, it is around twelve kilometres via the B51 towards Telgte.
A direct journey by car is not possible, as the market square is located in the pedestrian zone of the city centre.
Travelling by bus and train:
Telgte is on the Münster - Rheda-Wiedenbrück railway line. It is about a ten-minute walk from the train station in Telgte to the historic town centre.
The R11 and R13 lines run from Münster main station to Telgte town centre. The journey takes around 30 minutes.
Parking
The market square with the town crier statue is part of Telgte's pedestrian zone and is only partially accessible by car. The nearest car parks are at Knickenbergplatz, Emstor or Antoniusstraße. The walk takes about 5-10 minutes.
