    Introduction

    Beckum's market square is the parlour and historic centre of the town.

    Beckum's market square is a central meeting point and the town's "parlour". The square offers a charming mix of historic buildings and modern comfort. Numerous cafés, restaurants and shops invite you to linger and stroll around. Many events and markets also take place on the market square, enriching the cultural life of Beckum. Particularly worth seeing is the historic town hall, which characterises the square and gives it a special atmosphere. The Church of St Stephen is located in the immediate vicinity.

    Information for cyclists
    The signposted cycle path network of over 4,500 km runs in the immediate vicinity of the market square, as does the charming Werse cycle path. The cycle paths lead through the former cement works to the Blue Lagoon in the direction of Ennigerloh, along the Werse or to Lippetal.

    Beckum has several pay and display car parks in the town centre. The Clemens-August Straße car park is located near the market square. Free car parks with a maximum parking time of 2 hours are located at Hindenburgplatz.
    Journey
    By car via the A2 motorway (Oberhausen-Hannover) to the Beckum exit. Follow the signs to Beckum/Zentrum.
    By train via Neubeckum railway station with bus lines S30, R61 or R62 to Beckum bus station. From there, either walk or take the R37 bus to the Rathaus stop. Trains from Bielefeld, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Essen, Hamm, Cologne, Minden, Münster and Paderborn stop at Neubeckum.
