The Spanish artist SAM3 is known for his large-format, silhouette-like murals, often reduced to black and white. Some of these are as tall as a house and often refer to their immediate urban surroundings.
Five murals were created for the UEFA EURO 2024 in Düsseldorf. Lord Mayor Dr Stephan Keller personally wrote a letter to the property owners. All of the artworks show the city's many facets and its connection to football. Five artists from the nations playing in Düsseldorf have painted them. They include SAM3 (Spain), JANA&JS (Austria/France) and Alexis Bust Stephens (France). The campaign was curated by the urban art gallery Pretty Portal in collaboration with the agency Dreimarketing and Düsseldorfer Büdchentag e.V.
