Information for cyclists
Various signposted themed cycle routes offer interesting cycle tours through the Münsterland region. The routes run just a few metres from the zoo:

Dortmund-Ems Canal
German Football Route NRW
Pilgrim route
Peace Route
Access to the routes is provided by junction 38, which is located directly at the canal lock.
The network of junctions, which is over 4500 kilometres long, makes it easy to navigate and find your way around the region's cycle paths and themed routes, even for those unfamiliar with the area.
