    Parking lot Einstein-Gymnasium

    The circular hiking trail in the district of Rheda still shows a lot of untouched nature and leads hikers past a beautiful old manor house - Haus Bosfeld. Along the way, you can often hear woodpeckers in the forest and, with a bit of luck, see deer, squirrels & Co.

    Please note the information on safety and equipment in advance. The trail is no longer marked on site. For orientation, please use the digital map, download the gpx track or print out the route as a pdf in advance.

    The forest area to be hiked belongs to the princely family of Bentheim-Tecklenburg, who have their residence at Rheda Castle. This beautiful forest served as a local recreation area for the residents, which in earlier times was known as Stadtholz.

    In addition to spruce forest, there are also stands of beech and oak in this region. You can walk past meadows and through poplar avenues along well-maintained hiking trails, past damp forest terrain, where a few areas of primroses still delight hikers in spring.

    Autobahn A2 - Exit 23 Rheda-Wiedenbrück, exit Rheda, B64 direction Münster, 1 exit Rheda, continue along Gütersloher Straße to the traffic circle at the train station, exit Ringstraße, turn right Fürst-Bentheim-Straße to Einstein Gymnasium

    Free parking is available at the Einstein Gymnasium.

    No optimal connection from Rheda main station.

    There are no refreshment stops along the route!
