    The 3-kilometre route around the Schildescher Obersee lake is one of the most popular running and walking routes in Bielefeld, especially in the evening hours, and is suitable for beginners and professionals alike.

    You can run around the lake on well-paved, partly asphalted park paths.

    The popular excursion restaurant "Seekrug" is located directly on the Obersee.

    Starting point Talbrückenstr. 61: from there turn left up past the playground and Seekrug, follow the path to the Schützhütte (near Schleussenstraße), turn right here back to Obersee, continue straight ahead, circle the lake to the starting point.

    The route is hardly illuminated.

    Sturdy shoes and suitable clothing, as there are no changing facilities.

    The popular excursion restaurant "Seekrug" with its large beer garden, playgrounds, mini golf and volleyball is located directly on the Obersee.

    Take the A2 to the Bielefeld-Zentrum exit, from Detmolder Straße turn right onto Niederwall, then right again onto Herforder Straße. At the first major intersection, turn left onto Beckhausstraße, then right again onto Engersche Straße and turn right onto Talbrückenstraße until you reach the parking lot: destination reached.
