Paderborner Rundtour

The "Paderborn Circular Tour", which runs in a wide arc around the Paderborn city, offers an unexpected variety of landscape experiences. It leads into the lake district in the north of Paderborn, touches the sandy Senne, runs across the extensive Paderborn plateau and leads through the fertile farmland in the west, which already belongs to the Hellwegbörde. As varied as the landscapes are, so different are the demands on pedal power and stamina: the northern section is flat and without gradients, while the southern section is characterized by ups and downs. However, a number of cozy refreshment stops along the way ensure that your strength is restored.

The approximately 70-kilometre Paderborn circular tour begins - like the four short Paderborn tours (PB 1 - PB 4) - at the cycle route information display case on the western Maspernplatz near the children's playground on the inner city ring road. It is signposted with a three-rabbit signet.

The "Paderborner Rundtour" runs - especially in the northern area - on heavily frequented cycle paths and footpaths. Please be considerate of pedestrians and other cyclists. Watch out for motor vehicles on the farm tracks. Please also take care when crossing roads and on the steep downhill section into the Haxtergund!

Take the A 33 freeway to the Pad.-Zentrum or Pad.-Schloß Neuhaus exit; then head towards Paderborn Innenstadt. Stay on the inner ring road (Innenstadtring) in the direction of PaderHalle or Maspernplatz (if necessary, follow the parking guidance system). Turn into Maspernplatz via Hathumarstraße.

Parking for cars is available at Maspernplatz on the edge of Paderborn city center (destination address for the navigation system: Heiersmauer 45, 33098 Paderborn). There are usually plenty of parking spaces there. Tip: Buy a reasonably priced day ticket!

Take the city bus lines (PaderSprinter) 5, 6, 11, 12 to the "Maspernplatz" stop.
