Kirchlengern train station

The first unsignposted route from the Nature Cycling Guide leads through Kirchlengern and Bünde along the River Else and is a perfect circular route for all nature lovers. The route starts and ends at Kirchlengern railroad station.

The connecting element on this easily navigable route is the Else floodplain with its historical traces of the special relationship between man and river: Watermills and weirs, damming and regulation. Through the realm of otters, beavers, kingfishers and nightingales, the journey in the Else valley offers many beautiful views of the wide open countryside.

Further information on the route and the waypoints can be found on the cycle leisure homepage of the district of Herford: www.fahr-im-kreis.de. A brochure is also available for download there.
