    The "Knickhagen" route (OH! 6) is an adventure trail at the Externsteine, which is particularly recommended for children.

    An approx. 2.5-kilometre circular trail starts from the Externsteine. This trail is particularly suitable for families with children, as there are several play and adventure elements along the way.


    The Externsteine are one of a total of 8 adventure stations of the KinderErlebniswelt Natur, a project of the Teutoburg Forest/Eggegebirge Nature Park.

    There is a large parking lot at the Externsteine. (subject to a charge!)

    From Easter to October, the nature park bus (tourist line 792) runs at weekends and travels to some sights (such as the Externsteine) in the district of Lippe.
