The Werse cycle path runs for 125 kilometers, sometimes directly along the Werse, sometimes further away through the landscape shaped by the Werse. It connects the towns of Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Oelde, Beckum, Ahlen, Hamm, Sendenhorst, Drensteinfurt and Münster with their historic and interesting town centers.

Following the course of the Werse, different cultural and landscape areas are touched in small-scale alternation. The contrast between the industrial upper reaches, the adjoining rural character with a mosaic of farms, fields and forests and the romantic floodplain landscape with oxbow lakes, floodplains and sandbanks in the lower reaches is particularly impressive. There are train stations and parking spaces in many places, so it is also possible to travel and cycle by train or car. And along the entire route, cozy restaurants and country cafés invite you to stop for a bite to eat. A tour on the Werse cycle path is therefore an all-round stimulating and relaxing experience.
In short: pure relaxation.

Uniform equipment elements accompany you on your cycle tour: viewing towers provide special insights into the landscape. A total of 34 information blocks draw attention to details. They provide information about interesting and exciting facts along the way and in the villages. Steles draw attention and provide orientation, and those who like to take a break under the high Münsterland sky and eat their packed lunch outdoors will find rest areas with tables and benches at regular intervals.
