Discover your five senses on the "trail for connoisseurs". The 94 km long hiking trail takes you along the Teutoburg Forest through a total of five places and will stimulate your five senses! Each place stands for one of the senses. Feel, smell, taste, hear and see - many surprises are waiting to be discovered along the way. And in between, treat yourself to a rest at exclusive resting places. Have fun!

The stages

Walking 94 kilometers in one go - that would be something for extreme athletes. That's why we have designed six stages for you, on which you can roam through the towns of Borgholzhausen, Halle, Versmold, Werther and the municipality of Steinhagen. The sections are between 11 and 21 kilometers long and lead partly through flat and partly through hilly terrain. And they each offer plenty of enjoyment in their own right. Make your way to castles and churches, climb observation towers, take a leisurely rest in very special places and experience pure nature.

Directions

The trail for connoisseurs is well signposted in both directions. Please follow the red and white signs with the inscription 'Weg für Genießer' and the 'G'.

Safety Guidelines

The trail leads partly through nature and landscape conservation areas. Please stay on the paths.

Please take care when crossing traffic roads!

Equipent

We recommend that you wear sturdy shoes!

Light footwear is recommended around Versmold.

Parking

Parking is possible at various hiking parking lots. As the "Trail for Connoisseurs" is a circular route, you can start and finish at any point along the route.
