The 60 km long and signposted cycle tour leads to places of early regional life, both scenic and architectural - suitable for cyclists in good physical condition.

It took many hands to weave the soft linen from the hard stalks of flax. Traces of this once formative, pre-industrial economic sector, as well as companies still active today in the textile industry that emerged from it, can be found on this route through the western part of the district. In addition, the former typical regional habitat is shown both in terms of landscape and architecture.

Further information on the route and the waypoints can be found on the Herford district cycling leisure website: www.fahr-im-kreis.de. A brochure is also available there as a free download.
