NABU Naturlehrpfad

The NABU nature trail provides information about the landscape and nature on seven boards along the way. In addition to beautiful views, it also provides information about the local flora and fauna. The trail is certified as a "Quality Trail - Discovery Tour".

Passing several farms and partly along an old church path, the route mainly runs through the forest and along country lanes. After the gentle climbs, there are always wonderful views of Schwelentrup. A bench at the so-called Friedenseiche (Oak of Peace) in particular invites you to take a break and let your gaze wander. At the transition from the tarmac path into the forest, the ascent is quite steep and in some other places the path is somewhat narrow. The first half of the trail follows the old church path from Schwelentrup to Hillentrup.
