Naturschätze-Steig

The Naturschätze-Steig starts and ends at Waldhaus Durbeke. Follow the red-brown markings of the Naturschätze-Steig through the Durbeke and Steinbeke, past the Bauernkamp and Spellerberg, over the Eggeberg and Ebersberg, through the Silberbachtal, past the Lippischen and Preußischen Velmerstot, over Kempen around the Ochsenberg, through the Fuchsgrund and around the Kobbennacken back to the starting point.

Notes on route disruptions

Sturdy shoes

Take the train to Altenbeken and take the R 431 bus from the station forecourt to Waldhaus Durbeke. Be sure to take a camera with you. Refreshment stops: Bauernkamp and Silbermühle.

Coming from Paderborn via Neuenbeken on the L 755 to Altenbeken, turn left at the Durbeke junction.

There are only a few parking spaces at Waldhaus Durbeke. There are more about 500 meters away at the Durbeke hiking parking lot.

Train journey to Altenbeken, continue with the bus (line R431) or from the station forecourt with the E-bike.
