The third stage of the Hohe Mark RadRoute begins in the centre of Reken. From there, the stage runs in an easterly direction through the district of Maria Veen. The district of Reken became famous through the construction of the social institution "Benediktushof". Here cyclists cross the railway tracks and then enter a landscape of wide fields and small rivers.
The Heubachwiesen nature reserve offers spectacular nature experiences. In spring, the diverse plants bloom in competition, accompanied by a concert of birdsong and spectacular flight displays.
From here, we recommend a detour to the Dülmen wild horse track nature reserve, home to the Dülmen wild horses since the 19th century. The herd comprises around 400 horses on an extensive area of moorland, heath, birch scrub and oak stands.
Shortly before Dülmen, things get animalistic again in the Dülmen Wildpark. The picturesque landscape park is characterised by small hills, groups of trees, ponds and meadows reminiscent of English parks. The idyllic landscape designed by garden architect Edward Milner is complemented by wild animals and sheep.
Arrived in Dülmen, today's stage ends. In the town there are numerous opportunities to end the cycle tour in a relaxed atmosphere.

Take the RE14 to Reken station. The starting point of the stage is only 100 metres away.
The route starts at a car park (Hauptstraße 31, 48734 Reken). Not only cars but also bicycles will find a suitable parking space here.
The Hohe Mark RadRoute is signposted throughout.
It is part of the junction system and can be recognised by the red/white signs. At intersections, arrow or destination signs guide cyclists in the right direction. Here cyclists will also find the Hohe Mark RadRoute logo with the green bicycle. Where the cycle paths only lead in one direction, there are regular rectangular intermediate signposts.
The Hohe Mark RadRoute makes it possible to take shortcuts via transverse bridges at four points - between Borken and Raesfeld and between Reken via Heiden and Dorsten. These are also part of the east, centre and west courses. The familiar route logo in reverse colour scheme (white bicycle on a green background) also guides you on the cross-paths.
