icon-info Details
The hiking trail with the markings (two bars) first takes you through the Benolper Weidekamp. As soon as the hiking trail meets the Rothaarsteig access trail at the "Rimmert" signpost, the circular tour follows this (hiking sign black lying R on yellow background) towards Wirme.
After crossing the district road 19 (Benolpe-Silberg), the hiking trail leads via Mark to the Wegescheid hiking parking lot above Wirme.
From the hiking parking lot, the circular route follows the rhombus sign to the west towards Varste and Welschen Ennest. Up to the Kuhlenberg settlement, the hiking trail unfortunately runs along a road with light traffic. After Kuhlenberg, the hiking trail rejoins the Rothaarsteig access trail at the Lentermike signpost. At this crossroads, the circular tour now leads via the hiking sign with two bars to Benolper Weidekamp (approx. 1.7 km) or back to Benolpe.
Information about the rescue signs

Most hiking trails run away from villages and settlements and every hiker has thought about what would happen if an emergency were to occur. How can I be found here? Where am I anyway? Can the emergency services reach me?

In an emergency, things have to move quickly! That's why the hiking trail network in the Lennestadt & Kirchhundem region is equipped with so-called rescue signs throughout. The green and white badges attached to the posts of the signposts have a number that you must give when making an emergency call. This way, the emergency services know exactly where you are and valuable time can be saved.

The B517 takes you to Benolpe, the hiking trail starts right in the center of the village.
