Berleburg Castle
We start at Berleburg Castle in Bad Berleburg. It goes downhill on the B480 out of the city. We turn right and drive on the L553 through the Berghausen district. Along the Eder we first go through the town of Aue and finally after the town of Röspe we come to the Sauerland. We continue on the L553 through Oberhundem, in Würdinghausen we take the first exit at the roundabout. In Kirchhundem we leave the L553 and turn left onto the L728, which we follow to Hilchenbach. In Hilchenbach we take the third exit at the roundabout to start the next winding route. At the end of the B508 we turn left at Kronprinzeneiche onto the B62. Attention: In the middle of a sharp curve we leave the main road to drive through Ruckerssfeld and Oechelhausen. At the stop sign on Allenbacher Höhe, turn left down onto the L728. In the middle of Herzhausen, we go from the main road onto the K27 along the forest until we follow the through town in Unglinghausen to the right again. We reach Kredenbach over a mountain. After the roundabout we turn left onto the B508. In Kreuztal we simply cross the large intersection straight ahead. Shortly before Osthelden we turn left onto the L908, past Junkernhees Castle, we follow the road until we turn left onto the L564. Only in Birlenbach do we leave the country road and turn right into Birlenbacher Straße. Now we turn left into Abendröthe in the town of Trupbach, where we then turn left onto Freudenberger Straße. We drive through to Siegen, where we only turn left into Sandstrasse after the underpass and crossing the Sieg. We drive past the Lower Castle and now into the Obergraben to get to Siegen's upper town, to the Upper Castle. We then go back down the Schlossberg and after turning right three times, we are on the other side of the mountain. We turn left onto the L719, which we only leave after Kaan-Marienborn and turn right onto the L723. To get to Wilnsdorf we bypass the roundabout and take the third exit at the next one. We are on the B54, which we leave at Haigerseelbach straight onto the B277. We bypass Haiger on the L3044, we follow this road to Ewersbach, where we turn left onto the L1571. In Hainchen we finally come to the moated castle. At the end of Hainchen, turn right onto “Vorm Eichhölzchen”. At the end of the street we follow Eisenstraße to the left to Siegquelle, where we change to Völkholzer Straße. In Feudingen we stay on Sieg-Lahn-Straße and in Saßmannshausen we turn right to get to Bad Laasphe. Behind Bad Laasphe take the third exit in the roundabout onto the L903. In the middle of Puderbach we follow Lahn-Eder-Straße to the right. At the Didoll hiking car park we take the road to the left, after the village of Richstein we continue to the right on the L903. At Lindehof we leave the country road at a fork to the right. When you arrive in Beddelhausen, turn left again at the main intersection in town along the Eder. In Dotzlar, we finally turn right on the final route back to Bad Berleburg.

The Siegerland-Wittgenstein region can also be easily reached from the urban centers of Cologne and Frankfurt within one to two hours via the A45.
There are numerous parking spaces along the route, and there are also RV parking spaces nearby.
