Directions
The cycle tour starts in Telgte at junction 42, very close to the market square and only approx. 800 metres from the railway station. The cycle path leaves the town in an easterly direction and passes the old Marienlinde lime tree, one of the oldest trees in Germany. Over the next few kilometres towards Westbevern, the nearby River Ems dominates the landscape. The Ems floodplains are particularly beautiful around the historic Haus Langen.
After a short stop in the "Beverdorf" village of Westbevern, the cycle path leads to Ostbevern. Here it is worth making a detour to Loburg Castle with its wild and romantic park, which is well worth seeing. The cycle path now turns southwards and is characterised by fields, meadows and small forests. You reach the Emsauenpark in Telgte without any significant inclines, which offers another beautiful view of the river landscape.
A visit to the pilgrimage chapel and a cosy end to the cycle tour on Telgte's market square are a must.
