Details

The tour starts on Ledder Straße at the East Sports Centre in Ibbenbüren. From there, the route heads south-west through green residential areas and soon reaches the Ibbenbüren Motorbike Museum. The collection of classic machines tells the story of technical history and regional passion for motorsport.

The route continues towards Brochterbeck, past fields and meadows with gentle inclines. In the village, the water treading pool in Brochterbeck invites you to take a refreshing break - embedded in a peaceful landscape with a view of the surrounding countryside. From there, the route follows the ascent up to the mountain village of Tecklenburg, which invites you to linger with its winding alleyways, half-timbered houses and small cafés.

On the outskirts of the village is the historic Haus Marck, a picturesque moated castle from the 16th century, idyllically situated in a small valley. The route continues through the Habichtswald state forest, an extensive wooded area with shady paths, clear air and varied terrain.

After crossing the forest, the route heads downhill back towards Ibbenbüren. At the foot of the Schafberg plateau, the view opens up to the Aasee Park Ibbenbüren - with well-kept lakeside paths, playgrounds, catering facilities and rest areas, an ideal place for an extended break by the water.

The tour ends with a ride through the centre of Ibbenbüren, where small shops, cafés and historic buildings showcase the urban flair of the Tecklenburger Land region. After a few kilometres, the starting point on Ledder Straße is reached again.

The approximately 40-kilometre circular tour combines historical places, quiet forest paths, cultural highlights and impressive panoramas to create a varied experience between half-timbered houses, forests and distant views.
