The "Meer, Mühle, mehr" cycle tour starts in the western suburb of Ibbenbüren and leads out of town along the southern slope of the Schafberg plateau. After a moderate climb at the cemetery in Püsselbüren, the route takes a leisurely descent towards Uffeln. There, the route crosses the "Heiliges Meer" nature reserve, which offers a unique natural experience with its moor and lake landscapes.

The route continues to Ostenwalde, past the Herthasee recreational area and the historic Knollmann's Mühle, a lovingly restored watermill. In Hörstel, the Gravenhorst Monastery, now a centre for art and culture, is well worth a visit. The return route runs along the cycle path along the Ibbenbürener Aa back to Ibbenbüren city centre.

This approximately 35 km long circular tour combines varied landscapes with cultural highlights and offers both nature and culture lovers a special experience.
