Directions
The cycle tour starts at junction 42 in the heart of Telgte. The route leads north along the well-known Ems cycle path to the picturesque Haus Langen with virtually no differences in altitude. The route continues via Westbevern through the gentle landscape to Ostbevern, which is also a good place for a short break. The cycle path curves through fields and meadows back to Telgte, where the beautiful Ems floodplains once again form a highlight.
Tip
There are six puzzles to solve along the route. A free puzzle map is available from Tourismus + Kultur Telgte on the market square or can be downloaded from the cycle tour website.
Those who answer the questions correctly will receive a number combination at the end. Back in Telgte, the correct number combination can be used to open a treasure chest in the "Relígio - Westphalian Museum of Religious Culture" in Herrenstraße 1-2 or at Tourismus + Kultur Telgte, Kapellenstraße 2. The children will receive a small surprise as a reward for completing the puzzle bike tour.
Parking
There are free car parks near the Ems and the town hall. From there, it is only a few pedal strokes to the start of the cycle route at junction 42.
There is also a caravan park at the Emstor.
Track Signage
The cycle route is not signposted separately. However, it runs entirely along the signposted junction system. The starting point is junction 42 in the centre of Telgte.
Sequence of junctions: 42-61-68-34-99-60-42
Additional Information
There is a charging station for e-bikes on the market square. Luggage lockers are available at the tourist information office in the city centre.
