Directions
The tour begins at the "Greven an die Ems" event area, directly from the starting point in a northerly direction. After just a few minutes, a wide panorama of the region's typical floodplain landscape opens up - with green meadows and gentle river meanders. After a few kilometres, the historic Sachsenhaus is reached. It's worth stopping here and following in the footsteps of history.
The cycle route crosses the Ems at Emsdetten-Hembergen. The small town is known for its beautiful Ems floodplains, which are home to a wealth of flora and fauna. Accompanied by the blue ribbon of the Ems, the route continues to Emsdetten. Those interested in culture should not miss out on a visit to the Hof Deitmar museum island. Four museums provide interesting insights into the history of the region.
After Emsdetten, the cycle route leads south along the Max Clemens Canal towards Greven and the Münsterland once again presents itself from its rural side. In fine weather, the cycle tour can be rounded off wonderfully by the River Ems.
