Burg Hülshoff
Burg Hülshoff
Directions
The cycle tour starts at the impressive Hülshoff Castle. However, before you really get going, we recommend a visit to the Droste Museum. The life and work of the poet is vividly presented here. Just a few kilometres behind the castle, Haus Vögeding awaits cyclists. Droste liked to take a break here on her walks to Haus Rüschhaus. Haus Rüschhaus is the next stop on the cycle tour. The historic building with its small museum is a reminder of Droste's life.
Shortly after Haus Rüschhaus, the cycle route crosses the motorway and approaches Münster. A tour of the city should not miss the numerous sights such as Münster Castle, the Prinzipalmarkt, the cathedral and the Überwasserkirche.
The cycle path now leaves the city centre in a westerly direction and crosses the district of Roxel. Here, at the latest, cyclists are once again surrounded by the gentle Münsterland parkland landscape and reach Havixbeck via beautiful cycle paths. The Baumberg Sandstone Museum impresses with its beautiful exhibits and offers another opportunity for a stop. Before reaching Hülshoff Castle, cyclists are once again surrounded by the green landscapes of the Münsterland.
At the end of the tour, you can enjoy a picnic in the castle park or a hearty meal in the castle courtyard.
