Hikers' parking lot in Schmelztal at the entrance to Einsiedlertal (clockwise hike recommended)
Safety Guidelines
The beginning of our hike along the Obach and the ascent to Hohenhonnef is similar to a path and the last part near the Hohenhonnef residential community is only recognizable as a path. Follow the trail uphill towards the refuge. From the refuge onwards, there are only gravel, firm paths, especially in the Einsiedlertal we find a wide forest path.
Tip
Löwenburg ruins after a steep climb with a view worth seeing; old ore mines in Einsiedlertal, recognizable by the bluish shimmer on the standing water
