Directions
After the start from the car park, we keep left and walk uphill. The circular route is well signposted with the Waterfall Tour logo. The hike leads through wonderful, varied landscapes to the highlight of the tour - the Dreimühlen waterfall. The route continues to the small village of Niederehe with the former Augustinian convent. The old convent church is particularly worth seeing. You return to the castle village of Kerpen via agricultural paths.
Safety Guidelines
With good preparation, hiking in the Eifel is a lot of fun - wear appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Take a rucksack with drinks, provisions and a mobile phone. For your own safety, please always stay off the marked paths and do not leave them.
The wooden bridges and the narrow footpath around the waterfall can be slippery.

Tip
Visit the church and convent in Niederehe. The former Augustinian convent was built between 1162 and 1175.

Additional Information
Kerpen Castle is privately owned and is currently being renovated. A visit is not possible.
