Guided tour/tour

An overview of more than 1700 years of Jewish life

In 321, Emperor Constantine issued an edict addressing the participation of Jews in the city council, directed at the representatives of Cologne. This edict is the first written evidence of Jewish life in the German-speaking region as we know it today—a remarkable historical legacy that can still be felt in Cologne to this day.

Let yourselves be guided to places that reflect the rich history, culture, and economic prosperity of the Jewish community, and learn more about influential Jewish personalities who have shaped Cologne's history. Our tour highlights both the periods of flourishing and the challenges faced by the Jewish community throughout history.
