Information for cyclists
Ibbenbüren offers excellent conditions for cyclists. Centrally located in the Tecklenburger Land, there are numerous opportunities to explore the surrounding area from here. There is something for everyone here.
Around Ibbenbüren, cyclists can expect a colourful mix of hilly and flat landscape. The cycle paths towards Tecklenburg in particular are characterised by the foothills of the Teutoburg Forest and a dense forest stand. But the beautiful views make up for any effort. North of Ibbenbüren, the landscape gradually becomes flatter again and unique nature reserves and moor landscapes are waiting to be discovered. And there is also plenty to experience culturally, such as the Gravenhorst Monastery in Hörstel or the Draiflessen Collection in Mettingen.
Various themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through the Münsterland region. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very special contents of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. The following themed routes run along the Loismann Botanical Garden:

The entrance to the 4500-kilometre Münsterland cycle route network is directly at the Loismann Trail.

Parking
Parking for visitors is available directly on Loismannweg or at the nearby Dörenthe cemetery.

The Loismann Botanical Garden is located in the Dörenthe district of Ibbenbüren, south of Ibbenbüren.
Getting there by car:
The botanical garden is located close to the B219 main road.
Connection to the A30 motorway, exit Ibbenbüren 11b.
Travelling by bus and train:
The nearest railway station is in Ibbenbüren, distance around eight kilometres.
Bus line R63 runs from Ibbenbüren (bus) station to the "NaturaGart" stop. From here it is only a few minutes' walk to the Loismann botanical garden.
Bus line S50 (Münster-Ibbenbüren) stops in Dörenthe, bus stop "Abzw. Brochterbeck". Connection to Münster (Westf.) main station.
