The Bermuda3Eck in Bochum - a place like no other.
Between Südring and Konrad-Adenauer-Platz, something has grown here in over 30 years that enjoys cult status even beyond the borders of the Ruhr region. Every year, four million visitors from all over flock to Bochum's lively city centre and enjoy the diversity of the Bermuda3Eck, with a gastronomic landscape comprising almost 90 establishments. Whether it's a snack, upscale cuisine, shopping, entertainment or culture - you can find it all here, to suit every taste and in one place.
The Bermuda3Eck also features the "real" cult sausage from Dönninghaus. In the Bratwursthaus, visitors can enjoy the unforgettable original currywurst, a cultural asset sung about by Herbert Grönemeyer. In Wattenscheid, especially in connection with the SG 09 games in the Lohrheide stadium, the Thiers sausage is usually on the grill. Another version is available at the Wattenscheid professional grill run by chef Raimund Ostendorp, who moved from a 3-star restaurant to a chip shop.
The open-air season at the Bermuda 3Eck opens with "Stühle raus!(Chairs out!)". Then the pub mile turns into a street party. Bochum Total is also a special highlight. The music festival is the largest inner-city open-air festival in Europe. Every year, hundreds of thousands of visitors make the pilgrimage to Bochum's city centre. The programme always impresses with its trend-setting line-up: current stars such as Reamonn, Seeed or Silbermond played at the open-air festival, which was already established in 1986, even before their big breakthrough.
