The Traumpfad Förstersteig winds its way through the picturesque landscape of the Eifel. The hiking route leads through idyllic stream valleys, over the back of a majestic rocky ridge and through shady forest passages that convey a sense of peace and tranquillity. Lush meadows and paddocks line the path as the hike climbs and descends through the breathtaking landscape. The effort of the climbs, which vary from easy to grueling, is rewarded by spectacular panoramic views. The view extends over Mayen, the Maifeld and the Rhine, as far as the mighty basalt columns of a quarry and the dreamy Bürresheim Castle. The view of the Nettetal and Nitztal valleys is equally impressive. Along the way, benches and shelters invite you to linger and enjoy the surrounding nature.
