The Düstermühlenmarkt has been taking place for centuries. It is not only a folk festival, but also one of the largest agricultural exhibitions in the Münsterland region. Music and dance events as well as small animal and craft markets complete the programme. In addition to animals such as horses, ponies, goats, poultry and small animals of all kinds, textiles, household goods, tools, agricultural machinery, garden furniture, riding equipment, household chemicals and much more are also traded.
Every year, tens of thousands of visitors flock to the Wehr farming community at Düstermühle on the last Monday in August and the Saturday before (party in the tents from 21:00) and Sunday.
There are plenty of parking spaces available at the site.
The organisers are the farms and businesses located on the administrative site.
