Neumarkt Transforms Again
From July 9 to September 5, 2025, Neumarkt in Cologne will once again become a vibrant hub of cultural diversity. With the "Take a Seat" project, the city of Cologne creates a space of encounter where art, history, and urban life merge. The central piece is a yellow cultural pavilion, equipped by the renowned artist Erika Hock. It offers a daily changing program: concerts, performances, readings, and much more. Children and adolescents will also find something to enjoy.
Special highlights include the literary readings of the Cologne Summer of Literature, taking place daily. The opening on July 9 is celebrated with the presence of Mayor Henriette Reker and musical contributions. The grand finale on September 5 features a big celebration, emphasizing social responsibility and openness, while all events remain freely accessible.
