Herz Jesu Kirche - church

The Herz Jesu (Sacred Heart) church is lovingly known among the locals as the “Öcher Sacre Coeur”.

The neo-romantic parish church was built between 1908 and 1910 according to the design by architect Josef Kleesattel, and is at the end of the Viktoriallee. The mosaic above the alter in the interior of the church is the second-largest mosaic in the Aachen bishopric, after the one in Aachen Cathedral.
