The "God's gift" salt works

Saline ParkThe Saline Park at Bentlage Monastery offers a unique atmosphere and fresh salt air.

The "Gottesgabe" salt works is part of the unique cultural landscape around Bentlage Abbey in the northern Münsterland. Where salt was once extracted, there is now an extraordinary citizens' park with impressive garden architecture. Listed buildings of the salt works are still preserved today. In combination with a historic tree population, colourful flowers and extensive meadows, the Salinenpark has become a place to relax and feel good.
