The picturesque Bad Iburg and the old town of Osnabrück are very beautiful destinations that can be easily reached by bike from Tecklenburg. With the foothills of the Teutoburg Forest, cyclists in Tecklenburg Land can expect one or two elevations, but every effort is rewarded with magnificent views over the Münsterland.
Various themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through Münsterland. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very special contents of the region and thus tell exciting stories about the Münsterland. The Doll Museum in Tecklenburg is also connected to various themed cycle routes.

The entrance to the Münsterland cycle route network, which is around 4500 kilometres long, is directly at the museum and offers numerous opportunities for cycling tours in the region.

The area around the historic half-timbered town of Tecklenburg is a paradise for hikers and those seeking recreation. Here, the foothills of the Teutoburg Forest attract hikers and walkers. The best way to discover and enjoy nature is on one of the numerous paths.

Arrival
Arrival by car:
Approach via A30 (Bad Oeynhausen - Rheine), exit Lotte (coming from the east) or exit Laggenbeck (coming from the west). Approach via A1, exit Lengerich
A direct journey is not possible. Driving is prohibited in the old town of Tecklenburg. Guests should use one of the designated and sought-after parking spaces.
Arriving by train:
Tecklenburg does not have its own railway station. The nearest stations are Ibbenbüren and Lengerich. Continue to Tecklenburg by bus.
Bus line R45 from Ibbenbüren, bus station, or from Lengerich station to Tecklenburg.
Parking
There are numerous (paid) parking facilities throughout the city, signposted and well located.
