Information for cyclists
The best way to discover the area around Stadtlohn is by bicycle on various circular routes and small "Pättkes". The flat, beautiful landscape invites you to extensive cycling tours. An excursion along the Berkel river over the nearby Dutch border is also worthwhile.
Numerous themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through Münsterland. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very specific contents of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. Various themed cycle routes also run along the nearby market square in the centre of Stadtlohn:

The entrance to the approximately 4,500 kilometre long Münsterland cycle path network is located at the market square about 300 metres from the town hall and offers numerous opportunities for beautiful cycle tours in the region.

Parking
A large car park is available for guests at the nearby bus station.
Arrival
Stadtlohn is centrally located in the district of Borken in the western Münsterland near the Dutch border. The town hall is located near the bus station on the edge of the town centre.
Arrival by car:
Arrival via the A31 Emden - Oberhausen motorway. Take the Gescher or Legden/Ahaus exit and follow the signs to Stadtlohn.
Arriving by bus and train:
The nearest train station is in Ahaus, about twelve kilometres away.
The bus line R76 offers connections from Ahaus to Stadtlohn. This bus line also provides a connection to Borken.
