What once caused great astonishment has become a worldwide trend - Stand Up Paddling (SUP). Standing on a surfboard up to more than 4 metres long, with a paddle sometimes poking in to the right, sometimes to the left of the board, the "SUP tourists" undertake their tours on Lake Rursee. In contrast to windsurfing, paddle surfing is even quicker to learn and can also be practised by older/younger or less athletic people. Different standing and paddling techniques let you glide across the lake in a relaxed or sporty way. "SUPsafety" in Rurberg is one of the first SUP schools in Germany.
