Information for cyclists
Cycle paths, cycle lanes, cycle tracks - in Rheine the possibilities for cyclists seem almost unlimited. The cycle paths along the Ems, along the Dortmund-Ems Canal or to Steinfurt are free of gradients. Significantly more metres in altitude have to be overcome on the way to Ibbenbüren.
Numerous themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through Münsterland. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very specific contents of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. The Waldhügel nature reserve is also connected to various themed cycle routes:
NaTourism Route Steinfurter Land
Close to the Ems, about 1.5 kilometres away, the 100 Castles Route and the Ems Cycle Path also run. A detour to the forest hill is always worthwhile.
Everyone can find their next cycling tour on the Münsterland cycle path network, which is around 4500 kilometres long.
