Another testimony of volcanic origin is the Vulkania healing spring, not far from the Nürburg spring in Dreis-Brück. The recognised healing water is a little refreshment on the way.

Near the Nürburg spring, the Vulkania spring emerges from a large monolith. The spring water is characterized by a high mineral content and a variety of healing effects. It bubbles up from the ground at a rate of 1.4 liters per minute with a water temperature of 13°C, as a sodium-alkaline-bicarbonate spring.

The company "Nürburg Quelle Hermann Kreuter GmbH" has tapped several strong mineral springs within the Maarkessel of the Dreiser Weihers through drilling. The roots of the name "Dreis" lie in the term "triusan," an Old High German word for "to bubble, to trickle." Among the most important springs are, in addition to the namesake Nürburg spring, the Vulkania healing spring.

A few steps away from the spring stands a chapel that invites you to linger a little longer. On your route along the German Vulkanstraße, a small refreshment awaits you. Feel free to fill up the water for drinking cures.
