A true mountain bike paradise extends over 750 km and 17,500 metres of altitude in the GesundLand Vulkaneifel. A close-meshed network of routes, summarised under the name "VulkanBike Trailpark", attracts bikers from all over Germany.
Tours with different levels of difficulty offer something for everyone on forest and woodland trails. Whether leisurely laps for pleasure bikers or sweat-inducing tours with short crisp climbs and rapid descents, everyone will find their terrain here. A highlight for experienced bikers is the "KoulShore", a 13ha playground with challenging single trails, tricky descents and wooden northshore elements. And if you want to show your skills, take part in the VulkanBike Eifel Marathon.
The signposting of the trail network is designed so that all routes can be ridden without GPS or map support. However, as the trails largely lead through uninhabited parts of the landscape, every mountain biker should familiarise himself with the signposting system before the tour. In general, a map-based tour of the VulkanBike Trailpark helps to avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary detours.
